About me…

Hi! My name is Sam Richards.. or Richarts if you know me as an illustrator.

I’m 25, from South East London, and love being playful with my work.  Storytelling is something I love to do, whether that be via children’s books or editorial pieces, I like each project to follow a narrative.

I graduated from Coventry University with a BA in illustration and animation and more recently I completed my Masters degree in illustration, where I attended Ravensbourne University.

Outside of illustrating, I love being outdoors. Whether it be running or walking, nothing helps to spark my creativity quite like some exercise and good music. I am also a keen (yet very average) golfer, obsessive Arsenal fan, and not forgetting, a lover of Pokemon!

I am very much a family man, my Dad and brother (pictured alongside) are my inspiration and without them, I wouldn’t find myself where I am today.
